KNUTSFORD Beer Festival will be returning to the town centre for 2019.

The celebration of real ale and craft beer will take place at The Courthouse from April 11 to 13.

When the volunteer-run event first launched in 2014, it was held in the then-vacant Old Town Hall which is now the Lost and Found.

The central position made it an ideal location for a festival and so – after two years at Egerton Youth Club – the organisers wanted to return to their roots.

Andrew Malloy, chairman of the Knutsford Beer Festival committee, said: “We are delighted to bring the Knutsford Beer Festival back into the town centre.

"The Courthouse is a fantastic venue and we’re sure that next year’s festival will be the high-quality event that Knutsford deserves.

"We would like to thank Egerton Youth Club for hosting us for the past two years, they have a fabulous facility, and it has been a pleasure to support them.”

With Knutsford's own Tatton Brewery among its sponsors, the festival will bring together a wide selection of real ale cask beers and craft beer on keg.

There will also be cider as well as a full bar of gin, spirits, wine and Prosecco from The Courthouse who will also be offering a range of street food including burgers and halloumi fries.

Between April 11 and 13, there will be sessions on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings plus a dedicated tasting session on the Saturday afternoon.

Tickets for the festival, which has raised £16,040 for charity, will be available from mid-December by visiting the website or picking up one of the limited-edition Christmas baubles in supporting outlets around the town.
