SHOPPERS are being encouraged to take advantage of free parking in Knutsford and shop independent in December.

There are three free parking Saturdays during the month, December 8, 15 and 22, from 10am in the Silk Mill, King and Princess Street car parks.

Sandra Curties, town centre manager, said: “Our Christmas Markets may be over, but there is still so much going on in Knutsford over the festive period.

“As always, we have our independent shops and Market Hall offering a range of products and customer service you can’t get online plus a huge range of restaurants, bars and cafes.

“The festive fun is also continuing; several Princess Street traders are having a ‘Christmas Party’ on December 6, St Cross Church Christmas Tree festival starts on December 7, the Lantern Parade on December 8 and Knutsford Heritage Centre runs its Christmas Trail throughout the month.”

In addition, as is tradition, Knutsford Town Mayor Councillor Peter Coan will be handing out certificates and the coveted trophy on December 13 to the ‘Top Three Festive Windows’ as voted by the public via Knutsford Town Council webpage.

To be judged businesses can email photos of their finished windows to Sandra.curties@knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk
