Knutsford Ladies 0-4 Warrington Ladies
KNUTSFORD made changes to their line-up for a second meeting of the campaign with Warrington but they couldn’t prevent their guests from completing a double.
The visitors dominated the early exchanges and their pressure paid dividend when they scrambled an opening goal.
However the home team fought back and there were encouraging signs from wingers Jess Flack and Lily Wasilewski in support of forward Gill Lunt.
Warrington led 2-0 at the break before Knutsford responded afterwards with newcomers Rachel Sims, Katie Welch and Rosie Friscuolo all prominent with their pressing.
The visitors completed a 4-0 victory, including a brace for Katie Connolly and goals from Debbie Kinsie and Meg Sutch, before full-time.
Georgia Allen’s work in defence made her a stand-out performer for Knutsford while the visitors chose goalkeeper Lucy White as their opponents’ best player.
Knutsford visit high-flying Neston seconds on Saturday, push-back 3pm.
