BIG-hearted residents are being asked to donate more selection boxes to replace those eaten by greedy elves.

Dozens of selection boxes have been donated for Christmas parties at a children’s charity, but more are urgently needed.

The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is laying on parties for more than 1,200 children between November 19 and December 19, with 450 children being treated on the final day.

To put added smiles on the children’s faces the charity launched its Selection Box Appeal on November 5, and has received 60 boxes so far at its shop in Canute Place, Knutsford, which is opposite Sainsbury’s Local.

The deadline for donating selection boxes is December 14, and boxes can be left at the charity shop, which opens during normal shop hours between Monday and Saturday, and at the charity’s base at Millington.

Each year the charity provides parties for ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the north west.

Children enjoy a day of festive fun including party games, disco, meeting the animals in the barn and of course a visit to Santa in their grotto.
