KNUTSFORD residents will come together today to take part in a special Remembrance commemoration.

This year marks the centenary of the end of the First World War.

Following a service at St Cross Church at 8.45am there will be wreath laying and prayers at Cross Town war memorial at 9.20am.

The parade assembles at Drury Lane at 10am before setting off to St John’s Church at 10.15am.

The Remembrance Service at St John’s begins at 10.45am, which is followed at 11.45am by a parade to the Centennial War Memorial.

At midday there will be wreath laying and prayers at the Centennial War Memorial before the parade back to Drury Lane at 12.20pm.

Wreath laying and prayers will take place at the War Memorial Cottage Hospital at 12.45pm, and at the Tatton Park Parachute Regiment Memorial at 1.45pm, followed by refreshments at the Knutsford Town Council offices at 2.30pm.
