CAREFOUND Home Care Wilmslow is celebrating achieving an outstanding rating in all areas from the care watchdog.

The service provides highly personalised home care services to elderly people.

It mainly cares for older people living with dementia, physical disability and people living with neurological conditions such as a stroke or Motor Neurone Disease.

The Care Quality Commission found the quality of care to be outstanding in all five areas - safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led - following an inspection in August.

Katie Brennan, Home Care Manager for Carefound Home Care Wilmslow said: “We, our staff and our clients are delighted that the care, compassion and hard work of our team has been recognised in this way by the CQC.

“We are dedicated to providing the highest quality care to our clients and unrivalled local support and employment packages to our staff.

“This result spurs us on to even better things in the future.”

Carefound Home Care was founded in Harrogate in 2012, and The Cheshire office was opened in Water Lane, Wilmslow in 2017.

Oliver Stirk, Director of Carefound Home Care, said: “We are very proud to be the first home care service in Cheshire and one of the few in the country to be rated outstanding in all five areas by the CQC. This rating is testament to the fantastic people we employ.”

The inspection report said: “We found there were exceptionally well-trained staff who developed kind and caring relationships with the people they cared for.

“People told us the care met and exceeded their expectations. The service promoted people's independence and provided care in a skilled and sensitive way, including people who were approaching the end of their life.

“People told us they were consistently in receipt of care that made them feel very safe. People were supported to have maximum control over their lives and were supported in the least restrictive way possible.

“Everyone we spoke to told us the service was exceptionally well-led. Staff told us they felt happy and supported in their roles.

“Staff were proud of the visions and values of the service and were motivated to contribute to the continual improvement of care for the people they supported. Without exception staff spoke highly of the management team.
