A CAR overturned in a crash with two lorries on the M6 southbound this morning, Tuesday.

The crash between junction 19 for Knutsford and 18 for Middlewich left one car on its side.

Traffic was held due to a diesel fuel spillage, with delays of around an hour stretching back to junction 21 at Croft.

All lanes were reopened at 12.20pm.

A spokesman added: "Traffic is also slowing to look on the opposite side of the carriageway.

"Traffic has been stopped since 9.20am due to a car overturning and coming to rest on its side in lane three just after J19.

"The lorry involved has been able to leave the scene and the car was up-righted around 10.45am."
