FOLK fans are in for a memorable evening at an annual charity concert staged by Knutsford Lions.

The concert is being held at The Courthouse in Knutsford on Thursday, November 22, and will feature The Houghton Weavers.

The group is returning by popular demand following a sell-out performance last year, and the concert is supporting local charities.

The band, comprising Tony Berry, Jim Berry, David Littler and Steve Millington have performed many concerts, recorded more than 30 albums and starred in several successful radio and TV series.

They can even boast a number one hit, in Tasmania, with their ever- popular song The Blackpool Bell.

Concert organiser Lion Paul Buttrick said: "For those of you who enjoy popular folk songs, raucous, traditional songs and delightful ballads, together with lots of jokes and much laughter, look no further than the Courthouse concert.

“However please book early, as tickets are only in advance and are likely to sell quickly.”

Unreserved seating will apply, and doors will open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start. Drinks can be bought at the bar and there will be a raffle.

Tickets are £17 and are available online from eventbrite.com, from Paul.buttrick1@gmail.com or by calling 07770 415630. For further information visit knutsfordlions.org.uk.
