Why should I watch..?
To see if Vics can take another step forward on only their second appearance in the competition.
They have already gone one better than last year after eliminating Maltby Main, from the Northern Counties East League, at the previous stage.
Cammell Laird will pose a different threat, and make a short journey to Northwich buoyed by winning six successive matches.
However that sequence ended last Friday when they bowed out of the First Division Cup following a narrow defeat at neighbours Vauxhall Motors – a game watched by Vics boss Steve Wilkes.
They will take some encouragement though from winning a Cheshire FA Senior Cup meeting between the teams last season.
What they’ve said
“They’ve one or two players that can cause us problems, and we’ll need to play at the standard we have in the past couple of games.
“Cammell Laird will give everything, and it’s a good thing that they lost last week because I wouldn’t have wanted them to be coming here off the back of seven straight wins!
“It’s a home tie, which is what we wanted because of how good we’ve been at Wincham Park.”
Steve Wilkes, Northwich Victoria manager
“I think we need to bring our A game, but we know we’ve got that now.
“We’ve done our homework on them, and will be working on how we can combat their threats and do them damage at the other end.
“I think Northwich will have heard about how we’ve been playing recently and will raise their game. It’s going to be a tough test.”
Phil Burton, Cammell Laird manager

It’s an important afternoon for…
Two former fans’ favourites
Steve Walters, a director of the Offside Trust, has been invited to attend so that he can receive in person a donation worth £800 from supporters that completed a sponsored walk earlier this summer.
That figure includes amounts from other fundraising activities too.
The Offside Trust describes itself as an organisation committed to supporting survivors of child abuse while working to make sport safer for young people.
Kenny Jones, captain when Vics won the FA Trophy and a veteran of more than 900 appearances for the club, will present a cheque to Walters on Vics’ behalf.
We are pleased to announce that Vics legend @steven_walters4 will be present at Saturday's Cammell Laird @nonleaguedayuk game to accept a £800 cheque for the @OffsideTrust from money raised by the supporters from their Snowdon walk & other fundraising 💚⚽👋 #vics #legend pic.twitter.com/ymCnbTf3c5

Vics team news
New recruit Andrew Fitzgerald, a central defender, is available for selection after completing his registration earlier this week.
Manager Steve Wilkes has no new injury concerns, and can call as well on another recent signing – midfielder Harvey Whyte – who made his debut as a substitute during last weekend’s 3-0 win at Squires Gate.
