HERE is one that will have pie fans licking their lips.

Holland’s Pies has launched a search for five tasters to join an "elite Pie Panel" to taste and review its tasty range.

Winners will get to taste lots of pies and puds and also be expected to feedback on current core ranges, as well as have exclusive access to new product ranges.

Meeting every six months at the Holland’s Pies factory in Baxenden in Lancashire, winners will get to taste and review products alongside Holland’s newly appointed chief pieologist, Helen Henry.

Pie Panelists will receive a year’s supply of pies and puds.

Entrants do not require any previous experience, but judges say it is "essential that they’re keen, enthusiastic pie lovers with a love for shortcrust pastry".

They will also be required to attend and travel to the Holland’s factory in Baxenden to attend the Pie Panel alongside Holland’s staff, suppliers and other key stakeholders, every six months.

Helen Henry, chief pieologist at Holland’s Pies, said: "We’re looking for people who are passionate about pies and who eat, sleep and dream about pies. They will taste and feedback on our best ever range and will be rewarded with mountains of pies and puds to take home!"

To win to the chance of becoming a Pie Panelist, entrants must simply email piepanel@hollandspies.co.uk telling Holland’s Pies, in no more than 250 words, in the most creative way possible why they’re the most deserving of a coveted place on the Pie Panel.

More information about the competition can be found on the Holland’s Pies Facebook page: www.facebook.com/hollandspiesofficial.

Applications will close on Friday, October 12.

Successful entrants will then be selected and notified and their prize of a year’s supply of pies arranged.
