The Real Housewives of Cheshire - which is filmed around Wilmslow and Knutsford - returns for a new series next week.

In the first episode – on Monday at 10pm on ITVBe – viewers see Tanya Bardsley on the move after a fire at the Wilmslow Park South home she shared with her footballer husband Phil, who plays for Burnley.

Fire crews were called to the property on the afternoon of July 5 after a fire broke out in a bathroom and spread to the roof.

Tanya said a TV in the bathroom had exploded because of the sun shining on it during this summer's heatwave.

“The whole house went up in flames and three floors were wrecked,” she told OK magazine.

The multi-million pound property was up for sale as the glamorous couple looked to move to a bigger property after Tanya gave birth to her fourth child.

Last year the former model opened the boutique Tanya Bardo in Grove Street selling her own jewellery range called ‘Dreams to Reality’ which is based on her own life experiences that she wished and dreamt for.

And she told OK: “I made a wish with one of my wish bracelets on the Wednesday for the a new house with an annex for my mum and my own bathroom. On the Thursday my home set on fire and on the Sunday we were in the house I visualised.”

Joining Tanya in the new series for more highs, lows and champagne are Dawn Ward, from Warford, and Lauren Simon – all three have been in the series since the beginning – plus the returning Rachel Lugo, Ester Dohnalová and Seema Malhotra.

Stacey Forsey, Nermina Pieters-Mekic and Christine McGuiness will feature as guests while two new housewives join the Cheshire clique - Perla Barton and Hanna Miraftab.

Latino vegan guru Perla, is married to self-made millionaire Jonathan. The pair, along with their children from previous relationships and their 12-year-old daughter together, live in a bespoke Wilmslow mansion where Perla tutors the Cheshire gliteratti in Yoga.

Producers say Perla isn’t afraid of being brutal with the truth, believing the best way to deliver it is with a smile on your face.

Hanna, who describes herself as an alpha female, grew up in Bolton where she has carved a career as a successful dentist.

Her fiancé Martin is part of the Cheshire elite and is a cosmetic surgeon with clinics in Hale and Palma; he also performed fellow Housewife Lauren’s thread facial lift in Series 7.

The Iranian beauty prides herself on being successful, self-sufficient and isn’t impressed with women marrying for money.

Also in episode one, viewers will learn that Rachel’s trust in husband John is dented when she discovers he’s been living a secret life and Dawn struggles with some difficult family news.
