ALMOST £500 was raised for St Cross Church at an annual cream tea.
The event has taken place for more than 40 years, and this year’s fundraiser was held in Parkfield Road, Knutsford.
For many years the event has been hosted by regular churchgoers Gordon and Sheila Fielding, but Sheila died this year, so the event was run in her honour by her immediate family.
About 70 people attended, and the family thanked everyone who attended and for their generosity, which was echoed by the Reverend Paul Deakin, who also attended.
