FESTIVAL Hall at Alderley Edge is playing host next Sunday, July 15, to a health fair by Wilmslow Together.

The group was set up by Wilmslow mum Valerie Kilby to offer help on a range of issues related to wellbeing.

“The aim of the health fair is to promote local wellbeing facilities and businesses and aid community networking while supporting families with advice for wellbeing and nutrition and workshops,” said Valerie.

“There will be fun activities and a barbecue by Kilby roast caterers for the whole family.”

The fair runs from 10am to 6pm, and tickets are £3, with free admission for children.

Valerie added: “Wilmslow Together will be changing to a Community Interest Company to form Wilmslow Cheshire Together over the coming months with the support of Nicola Smithson, vice-president of Arbonne, and David Heffernan, a mental health expert who has been working with mental health charities for more than 20 years.

“We have had huge interest in forming a committee and a lot of interested parties, and are putting together a number of proposals to work with schools within Cheshire.”

The fair is the second fundraiser by the group, following an evening of fashion and fizz at The Courthouse in Knutsford in May, which raised £1,000.

Valerie said: “I was overwhelmed with the support and the generosity of people for such a fabulous event, thanks to which we have been able to allocate funds to families in urgent need - we are really making a difference.”
