CHILDREN can learn how to eat more healthily and learn to make a simple dish or snack at free sessions at Holmes Chapel Community Centre.

Everybody Sport and Recreation is launching the cookery workshops for children aged six to 11 during the holidays at the centre.

The sessions are fun and interactive, and children will learn about food types and why they need to eat a varied diet.

They will be introduced to new and exciting foods, as well as improving their cookery skills such as measuring, cutting, mixing, kneading and mashing.

The sessions include a snack and refreshments. You can book onto one or all the workshops, as different topics will be covered at each.

The workshops are on Tuesday, July 31 from 1pm to 4pm, Wednesday, August 1 from 9.30am to 12.30pm or 1pm to 4pm; Thursday, August 2 from 1pm to 4pm and Friday, August 3 from 9.30am to 12.30pm or 1pm to 4pm.
