RISING indie star Tom Grennan is to play in Knutsford as part of a Guinness World Record attempt on July 11.
The Sober singer is hoping to break the record for the most live gigs performed in 12 hours in multiple towns.
So the 23-year-old will be travelling from Little Lever in Bolton to Marlborough calling in at 10 towns including Knutsford.
The attempt is to celebrate the release of Tom's debut album, Lighting Matches, which is out on July 6.
The criteria is that Tom has to play 10 immediate shows in towns with a population of at least 5,000 and less that 15,000 and the 15-minute gigs must be performed in front of at least 10 people.
Knutsford's venue has yet to be confirmed but the intimate albeit brief show should be a treat for fans considering his October tour will see him perform at Manchester Academy to 2,600 revellers.
The shows will be free, with tickets to be made available online soon.
Lighting Matches features Tom's current single Barbed Wire and previous hits Sober and Found What I’ve Been Looking For, which was used as the title music to Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage and has racked up more than 20 million streams.
