KNUTSFORD and Wilmslow bus users face losing services and changes.

D and G Bus has announced that the 87 Knutsford – Lilac Avenue – Tabley Road service will be withdrawn from July 22.

The company said: “We regret that this service will be withdrawn as it is not commercially viable.”

The company added that the times of the 88 and 88A Altrincham – Wilmslow – Mobberley – Knutsford – Macclesfield services were being revised from July 22 to improve reliability.

It said: “Services 88A is withdrawn due to low passenger numbers, but service 88 will divert via Longridge to provide an hourly Monday to Saturday service. Some villages will not be served at peak times.”

The 89 Knutsford – Wincham – Northwich service also changes from July 22.

D and G said: “The route is revised in Northwich town centre, and times are changed to improve reliability. The late afternoon journey from Knutsford to Northwich is withdrawn due to low passenger numbers.”

The 130 Macclesfield – Alderley Edge – Wilmslow – Manchester Airport service is to be withdrawn from June 16.

The company said: “Unfortunately the service is not carrying enough passengers to cover the operating costs, and we are unable to continue operating at a loss.”
