A BOY had to be airlifted to hospital after falling down a steep embankment in Styal on Sunday.
Firefighters from Wilmslow and Lymm were called to Farm Fold around 2.15pm, to reports that a 12-year-old boy had fallen in the woods.
They used line rescue equipment to lift him out of the embankment, and he was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
Firefighters were in attendance for approximately three hours.
