VILLAGERS who may feel socially-isolated or lonely are being targeted by a new community scheme.
Connecting Chelford is a newly-constituted voluntary organisation based in the village.
It is supported by Chelford Surgery and St John's Church and has been set up as a free service to provide regular contact for members of the community who may feel socially isolated or lonely.
Volunteers have attended Induction Training, Safeguarding Training and have been DBS checked.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or you know of a family member or Chelford resident who may be interested in knowing more about how they could benefit from this new service please contact connectingchelford@gmail.com or call Barbara on 07973 453823.
So far the organisation has received donations towards start-up costs from a local family, A J Boon Butchers, Chelford Community Hub, Chelford Farm Supplies, Chelford Surgery, EoLP (Public Health), National Westminster Bank and St John the Evangelist’s Church.
