FIREFIGHTERS from Holmes Chapel and Middlewich attended reports of a fire involving a forklift truck at an industrial premises in London Road, Holmes Chapel this morning.
The alarm was raised at around 7.30am and two fire engines attended.
On arrival at the scene, crews found that the fire had been extinguished however, after examining the vehicle with a thermal imaging camera, firefighters were concerned about the temperature of the battery.
The team isolated the battery and removed it from the vehicle to allow it to cool safely
In total, the crew were in attendance for approximately three and a half hours.
