THE Guardian has teamed up with Knutsford Beer Festival to offer discounted tickets for readers.

A selection of 40 craft beers and real ales will be poured at Egerton Youth Club on April 20 and 21 – and visitors can have 20 per cent discounted off the entry fee with our exclusive code.

The town's fourth festival will see the area's two breweries teaming up to bring the best beer to the event.

Knutsford's Tatton Brewery is sponsoring the festival's glasses, cooling the 28 cask beers for the perfect pint and helping to set up and run the bar.

And for the first time Mobberley Brewhouse will host a craft beer keg bar featuring the likes of Buxton Brewery, Track Brewery and Mobberley's own collaboration beer with Manchester's Shindigger called Sofa Surfer.

Meanwhile, Knutsford's craft beer and gin house, Dexter and Jones, will run a small gin bar with six gins including Spirit of George, dedicated to Mobberley-born George Mallory who was among the first to attempt to climb Mount Everest in 1924, but died on the mountain.
