A FUNDRAISER at the Courthouse Hotel in Knutsford for the British Heart Foundation and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital raised more than £4,800.

The event was organised by Nina Eastwood, a BHF volunteer, and Sian Rourke, two mums who became friends following their sons’ diagnosis of the same congenital heart defect, to celebrate the anniversaries of their boys’ successful surgeries.

The ladies night - Wear Red for BHF - saw 180 ladies attend, all dressed in red, for a night of fizz, dancing and a raffle and blind auction.

The star prize of a seven-night holiday was generously donated by Eurocamp, along with other items such as a signed Manchester City shirt, a family photoshoot, tickets to Manchester United, and vouchers for pamper treatments and Knutsford restaurants such as Evuna.

Nina and Sian thanked Knutsford and Prestbury women for attending and showing such enthusiasm and support for the event. It was so successful that they hope it will become an annual event.
