FUNDRAISING for Help for Heroes is a piece of cake for students at Wilmslow High School.
Students from the Thorngrove house organised fundraising fairs in aid of the charity, which included a large number of home-made cakes.
The day was a great success, with the students raising just over £800.
The event saw both the lower and upper school pull together alongside some of the sixth form students.
“Both the break and lunch fairs were extremely well attended by students, resulting in many of the stalls selling all their stock,” said a school spokesman.
“A big mention goes to 10TKK, who, spearheaded by James Wheeler, managed to raise more than £120.”
Help for Heroes was launched in October 2007 to help provide better facilities for British servicemen and women wounded or injured in the line of duty.
