A TEENAGER from Northwich has been charged by police following a hit-and-run crash in Holmes Chapel which left a man with serious injuries.

The incident occurred at around 11.15pm on Sunday, December 24, on Crofters Court, Holmes Chapel, outside the George and Dragon public house.

An 18-year-old Holmes Chapel man sustained serious injuries to his face and was taken to Royal Stoke Hospital where he is currently receiving medical treatment. His condition is described as stable.

Two further pedestrians, age 17 and 19, from Holmes Chapel, were also injured as a result of the collision, although they did not require hospital treatment.

Following investigations, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy from Northwich in relation to the incident shortly after 11am on Christmas Day.

The boy was subsequently charged with Section 18 assault, dangerous driving and two further counts of assault actual bodily harm. He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at South Cheshire Magistrates’ later today, Wednesday, December 27.
