TEENAGE entrepreneur William Hale has spoken about his battle with severe Obsessive-compulsive disorder.

William, from Wilmslow, who celebrates his 19th birthday on December 15, has teamed up with business partners to form digital web and marketing agency Rocket Online.

William, a former Wilmslow High School student, battled severe OCD while at high school in 2014.

In September he was one of eight people who appeared in Channel 5’s two-part documentary My Extreme OCD Life, which shed light on the commonly-misunderstood mental health condition.

William’s OCD made it increasingly difficult for him to go about his daily life, such as leaving the house, due to the constant OCD rituals and intrusive thoughts.

During this time William discovered coding and how it can be used to make any web application, and more importantly, he could code from the comfort of his home.

William’s knowledge of web applications grew until the point he was able to release a fully-functional website onto the internet.

He launched a plane-spotting community website in 2014 that grew to a monthly unique page view count of more than 60,000 nationwide plane-spotters by the end of 2016.

As the OCD became more manageable for William, and he was able to leave the house with less worry, he began providing his services to local companies as a contractor.

William has co-launched a fully inclusive web and marketing agency from his office in Manchester, and is on the look-out for new businesses that need websites and marketing.

William said: “I’m really excited to be working on this new project having spent the last five years developing websites. Forming an agency has been a big challenge and I’m really proud to see its launch after months of hard work.”

“We’re providing a full range of web and marketing services from fully bespoke and mobile responsive website development to strategic marketing.”

“Getting online is often a big challenge for small business owners.

“We want to change that misconception, and with our affordable packages we want to make it possible for any business owner to Rocket Online.”
