TWO brothers took on 21 miles of mud over two days to complete a charity challenge, almost trebling their original fundraising target int the process.
Twenty-six-year-old twins James and Rick Aston took on the double Tough Mudder challenge to support the East Cheshire Hospice, with an initial aim of raising £500.
The hospice needs £7,500 in donations each day to continue its care for people living with life-limiting illnesses.
James and Rick raised almost £1,500 by completing their back-to-back challenge, exceeding the £500 target within four days of fundraising in July.
Over September 9 and 10 at the event at Cholmondeley Castle in Maplas, they took on 21.4 miles of mud, 52 obstacles, 20,000 lbs of ice baths and 10,000-volt electric shocks.
