A SPECTACULAR new attraction is coming to Trafford City, Manchester, in the form of a Jurassic-themed adventure golf course.

Work has started on DinoFalls, an 18-hole adventure golf course, next to the M60 at Trafford Golf Centre.

The course will feature moving dinosaurs up to six metres tall, including a water-spraying Pterodactyl.

Pete Styles, Director of Golf, at Trafford Golf Centre and the soon-to-be launched DinoFalls, said: “This is exciting news for Manchester and we’re expecting this to be one of the busiest adventure golf sites in the UK.”

Covering almost 5000 square metres, the site, which will be accessible from Trafford Golf Centre, will include ‘fossil’ trails, caves and a dramatic three-metre high waterfall plunging into a specially created river and lake.

Around 70 tonnes of artificial rock, along with 340 tonnes of concrete, are being shipped to the site to create the course and the Jurassic theme will be enhanced with more than 500 specially selected palm trees and shrubs.

DinoFalls will also include an educational element. Two rooms will be available for school classes or parties. There will be fact-finding trails around the site which will provide an opportunity to learn more about dinosaurs and the prehistoric period.

According to Peter Styles, “DinoFalls will cater for the ever-growing leisure market in Trafford City, providing memorable and fun activities for families, couples, children’s parties and corporate and school groups.

“With the backdrop of Chill Factore behind us, and the incredible Jurassic setting being created next to the M60, this will certainly be one of Manchester’s most eye-catching attractions.”

The site, which will be the biggest adventure golf course in the UK outside of London, is due to open in Autumn 2017.
