FIREFIGHTERS tackled a house fire in Alderley Edge yesterday.
Crews from Wilmslow and Macclesfield were sent to the house in Chapel Road at 4.19pm where they found a fire had started involving insulating material in the loft space of the house.
A spokesman from Cheshire Fire Service said: “Firefighters used one hose reel and covering jets to extinguish the fire. Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus.
“One female casualty was assessed by firefighters. Crews then checked the loft space of the property for hotspots, and they also checked the neighbouring property too.”
