BRITISH Transport Police have reopened Wilmslow train station after an unattended bag was examined this evening.
Trains were blocked from entering the station and passengers were evacuated after the bag was found before 7pm on May 30.
Roads surrounding the station were also cordoned off by Cheshire Police, before officers reopened the station at 7.30pm after confirming the bag was not suspicious.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Thanks for bearing with us whilst officers examined an unattended bag at Wilmslow station.
"Item is not suspicious, station is reopening."
Delays are expected to continue until 8.45pm.
