WHAT a lot of George Osborne supporters have overlooked is that while it’s possible to have a second job and still do a MP’s role, that only works if the second job has flexible hours to fit around the commitments of being a MP.
Being editor of the London Evening Standard will mean George Osborne can’t attend morning parliamentary meetings even if his attendance could be useful.
I also notice Norbury Booths resident and husband of George Osborne’s agent, Jon Wells- Bradshaw, is now trying to be elected as a town councillor for Over Ward.
He failed in his attempt to be elected as a Norbury Booths councillor two years ago.
Given Over Ward already has four Conservative councillors who don’t live in the ward they represent, with two of them having moved out of Knutsford since the last election (Cllr Goodrich and Cllr Coan) I hope Mr Wells-Bradshaw’s attempt proves unsuccessful and that Over Ward resident Rebecca O’Rourke is elected.
