A DJ from Knutsford who has been featured on some of the nations favourite radio stations has released his first album.

Knutsford DJ and producer Mike McGuiness, aka Lempo, has released his first album ‘Chapter One’ which encapsulates some of his best work.

Featured on stations including BBC Radio One, Capital FM and Kiss FM ‘Chapter One’ has received support from industry heavyweights such as Pete Tong, Claude Vonstroke and Roger Sanchez.

Mike has been living in Knutsford for 16 years and he was resident DJ at Amber Lounge for five years, Room/Moda for four years and has thrown the May Day ‘Eivissa Partido’ at The Legh Arms every year now for the past four years.

In 2010 he launched his own label Applique Music with his single, ‘The Best Times’ enjoying chart success at #2 on Trackitdown and #21 on Beatport, gaining support from Eric Morillo and Roger Sanchez.

Mike said: “Chapter One represents my journey so far, a nod to all the amazing people I’ve been lucky enough to work with and learn from. I’m already looking ahead and writing new music to start the next chapter in my story!

Mike is renowned for his four-to-the-floor cocktail of hip-hop and swing influenced house music and this release is the result of six years production work.

The album features a collection of originals, collaborations and remixes with many of Mike’s high profile industry colleagues.

Every track on ‘Chapter One’ has charted in some capacity, including no less than ten number #1’s across various download stores and two Music Week top 20’s.
