AN ALDERLEY Edge student was the toast of her school after achieving a brilliant set of GCSE results.

Seona Wynn-Griffiths, of Merrymans Lane, achieved eight GCSEs, including four A*/A grades in English literature, French, history and R.E.

The 16-year-old, who was Beech Hall School’s head girl for the year, exceeded her predicted grades by more than 18 grades across seven subjects.

“I am very pleased with my results and I am glad that I was able to achieve so much higher than my original predicted grades,” she said.

“Being head girl at Beech Hall was a lot of fun and it was great to be so involved with the school and help my classmates.”

James Allen is headmaster of Beech Hall School, a non-selective independent institution in Tyherington for children aged from six months to 16 years.

He said: “Seona has excelled with her studies and we were so pleased to be able to help her reach her true potential.

“Her results are significantly higher than her predicted grades, which is testament to her dedication as a pupil here at Beech Hall.

“We wish her all the best, she has been a great head girl.”
