KNUTSFORD Academy will be the place to be on Friday night as panel of politicians will answer questions regarding the EU referendum taking place in two weeks time.

The school has teamed up with the Guardian to host the event on Friday, June 10 at 7pm.

Britain has to go to the polls on June 23 to decide if it wants to remain in the European Union, We have assembled a panel of local politicians and Knutsford Academy A Level students to answer your questions in a format similar to BBC Question Time.

Laying out the case for the country to remain in the EU will be former Liberal Democrat MEP Chris Davies, Green Party member Walter Houston and Academy Sixth Form student Tom Dalzell.

Arguing the case for the country to leave will be UKIP member John Bickley, former Conservative James Hadfield-Hyde and Academy student Haedyn Johnson.

The panel will introduce themselves before answering questions from the audience.

Mike Cladingbowl, executive principal at the Academy, said: "We are delighted to be hosting this EU referendum debate, and look forward to welcoming parents, students, local politicians and the Knutsford community to the Academy to listen and get involved in what is such an important decision for the country."

James Wilson, deputy editor at the Guardian, added: "I would like to thank the Academy for hosting this event on Friday.

"June 23 is a very important date for the future of this country and we hope Knutsfordians head to the event if they need help in making their decision.

"We are sure that our panel will answer some of the questions they have regarding the referendum."

The event is ticket only.
