GREAT Britain and Ireland are well-represented at this summer’s Euro 2016 championships with England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualifying.

But if you’re heading to the pub to catch one of the games this month, you may also find a number of other different nationalities cheering on their own home countries.

According to National Insurance number data from the Department of Work and Pensions, the best supported side in Cheshire East, aside from the home nations, will be Poland.

More than 9,000 Polish people have registered for a National Insurance number in the area followed by more than 1,500 people from Slovakia and 1,053 Portuguese.

The only side competing in this year’s tournament that does not have one registered resident is Iceland.

But keep your eyes peeled for the 21 Albanians, 31 Austrians and 38 people from Belgium who will be flying the flag for their country in the area.

The top 10 nationalities (excluding England, Wales and Northern Ireland) involved in Euro 2016 and living in Cheshire East:

1. Poland 9,064

2. Slovakia 1,579

3. Portuguese 1,053

4. Romania 1,053
