HOLMES Chapel’s Viking Explorer Scout Unit has raised an impressive £1,070 through its annual plant sale.
The sale was co-ordinated and supported by Giles Tweedy from Barclays Bank, and it is hoped that the Viking Explorer’s will see their profits boosted significantly by the Barclays '£4£' scheme.
“The plant sale is a huge operation and takes place over several weeks, with order forms going out to all residents in the area, orders being taken and collection and delivery co-ordination," said Giles.
I"t is a pleasure to support the sale, and work with the group. Funds raised will be used towards vital equipment for the Explorers who are all working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards."
