AN 80-year-old entrepreneur from Wincham has wowed RHS Flower Show judges for yet another year of blooming success.
Donald Wright, co-owner of The Hollies Plant Centre on Earles Lane, earned a gold award for his impressive pergola.
The green-fingered gardening expert has been in business for 65 years, and attended his first flower show in 1957.
Since then he has scooped up hundreds of medals at various horticultural shows across the country.
Donald has also played a part in Over Peover flower business, Chrysanthemums Direct, which has won multiple gold awards for its produce.
He said: “The biggest challenge is taking the flowers around in vans- they’re so big! I put the stand up in just a day.
“I suppose I am an expert in it now. If you aren’t after more than 60 years then that’s pretty poor!”
In the season between April and August, Donald deals with more than 4,000 orders for his baskets.
