Cranford WI by Sue Patterson
Co President Eileen Podmore welcomed members to the April meeting of Cranford WI. The banner and bunting, made by the members for the Cheshire Federation of WI's 95th anniversary, was on show at the meeting.
The president announced that there will be a WI Exhibition in the Knutsford Heritage Centre during August and September and asked for volunteers to act as stewards. The ballot for a place at the Buckingham Palace garden party to be held in June this year, to commemorate the centenary of the WI movement was won by Eileen Podmore.
The guest speaker for the meeting was Sue leicester, who entertained members with wonderful monologues, songs and poems. Judyth Fryer, the vice-president, gave the vote of thanks.
The next meeting will be on May 6 at 2pm in the Jubilee Hall, Knutsford. New members and visitors are always welcome.
