President Virginia Williamson welcomed members to the February meeting of Plumley WI, where they celebrated their 61st birthday with a party evening.
Several members enjoyed a county walk in Chester; the darts team won a match against Hale. Lynn Barber and the craft group have made a wonderful banner for the centenary celebrations, the craft group's next meeting is on March 11.
Future events include a walk in Dunham Massey on Thursday, February 26. This year's bursary to go to Denman College was won by Stephanie Dawson and the Bloom competition was won by Pam Willocks.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, March 2, with guest speaker Karen Pudner and her talk on women in science. The competition will be an old science book.
New members and guests are always welcome.
