KNUTSFORD Heartstart is celebrating another successful year – with three times as many people completing courses than in 2013.
In 2014, the Knutsford Heartstart team held a total of 12 courses, together with two first aid courses for the Explorer Scouts and two courses for the Cubs.
A total of 283 people have been trained as potential life-savers in the past year – an impressive spike from the 97 people trained in 2013.
This year, the team has welcomed two new instructors and six new training facilitators on board and also launched a new website, which now includes a new online booking facility.
Heartstart was also chosen as Knutsford store Sainsbury’s ‘charity of the year’, launched a ‘limited edition’ Heartstart Badge scheme, and formed a partnership with Wythenshawe Hospital Cardiac Rehab Unit.
The course dates for 2015 have now been released and can be seen on the website.
To book a place on one of the evening courses, which take place at Knutsford Methodist Church on the first Thursday of every month, visit heartstartknutsford.co.uk or call 01565 631324.
