A BREWERY has submitted plans to demolish and rebuild a semi-derelict former fire station on Stocks Lane in Over Peover.
Tadcaster-based Samuel Smiths Brewery has put in a planning application to Cheshire East Council to rebuild the unit, which was damaged in storms on August 2, 2011.
The building – used as a village fire station during the Second World War – has been left damaged ever since.
Residents living on nearby Cheshire Row have said the building is an eyesore.
The deadline for comments on the application, reference number 14/1190M, is April 30.
