A CANNABIS farm has been rumbled in High Legh.
Police swooped on a builder’s yard and farmhouse close to the Bears Paw in Warrington Road at around 8.20am on Thursday and discovered 180 plants.
Officers were alerted by a member of the public who spotted suspicious activity in the yard.
An eye-witness saw four men carrying the plants from the address.
According to police, when they arrived in the bungalow they found 'hundreds' of plants in a number of rooms and spent the rest of the day removing items and associated equipment.
Officers also found copper wiring, which is presumed stolen.
A 59-year-old man from Lymm was arrested and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Insp Steve Griffiths, who is in charge of policing in the Knutsford area, said: "Working with the community we can continue to identify those who cultivate and distribute drugs and ensure we disrupt the drugs supply network.
"Anyone with information on drug dealing or use should phone police on 101. Alternatively information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
