IT is a joke that got out of hand but now – direct from “Disgraceland” – there is no stopping Elvana.

The Elvis fronted Nirvana covers band began life at a friend’s fancy dress party and has snowballed four years later into a tribute act that has taken the UK by storm.

Elvana’s high profile year has included an extensive tour with sell out shows at Shepherds Bush Empire, Nottingham Rock City and Manchester Albert Hall.

The band everyone is talking about have also rocked the festival scene with appearances at Download Festival and three Glastonbury shows.

They are hitting the road again in October and their shows will run until March.

Jumpsuit-clad frontman “Elvis” – the “king of grunge” – commands the audience with equal parts humour and swagger in the only set where the likes of Viva Las Vegas sits alongside Smells Like Teen Spirit. In fact, the whole band dress in 50s tuxedos and are joined by two Vegas casino-style cheerleaders/backing vocalists.

Come as you are...or in blue suede shoes.

Elvana will perform at Liverpool Olympia on December 14.

Tickets are £22 and are available from seetickets.com/tour/elvana.
