TICKETS are still available for The Gin Society’s visit to Warrington.

The gin festival is returning to Parr Hall on August 16 and 17 after last year’s sell out success.

During the two-day special showcase, visitors will be able to sample more than 120 gins from regional and national distillers.

Many of the gin makers will also be on hand to share their expertise and knowledge in a series of masterclasses and tutored tastings.

Returning to Parr Hall for the second time, the event will feature three gin bars that will also serve cocktails, rums, Prosecco and bottled ales.

Throughout each of the four-hour sessions, there will be live music and street food too.

Tickets for each session cost £12.50 and that includes your first G&T. You also get a copa glass to take away and a booklet of tasting notes.

After that, all gins are £5 including mixer and garnish (cocktails are £10) and vouchers will be available in multiples of £5.

But there will also be free tasters from distillers and at masterclasses.

Three sessions are available – Friday evening from 6pm to 10.30pm, Saturday afternoon 12pm to 4.30pm and Saturday evening 6pm to 10.30pm.

Warrington has long had an association with gin thanks to Birchwood G&J Distillers – the oldest continuous distillery that was recently named Gin Producer of The Year at the International Spirits Challenge.
