IT’S time to get into the groove as the ultimate 80s party night heads to town.

Tribute show I Got Love for You 1980s will transport Parr Hall back to the era of shoulder pads and leg warmers on February 7 as the walls reverberate to the sounds of Culture Club, Wham, Newton’s own Rick Astley and everything in between.

Live band will fire up nostalgia with a total of 26 anthems which topped the charts more than three decades ago.

Becki Mundy, from Parr Hall, said: “A beautiful blend of pop and soft rock guarantees an extraordinary evening of chart-topping anthems as live band Electric Dreams perform classics by Duran Duran, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Kim Wilde and Tears for Fears in the ultimate throwback concert.

“This night of nostalgia promises a set-list that Top of the Pops would have been proud of.

“So make sure you go-go-go to get tickets because this extravagant 80s experience will leave you feeling on the edge of heaven with hits like Livin’ on a Prayer, The Final Countdown, Don’t You Want Me Baby and Relax.”

I Got Love For You 1980s is at the Parr Hall on February 7. Tickets are on sale now. Visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org or call 442345.

n Fans of the 80s can also join Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp at Parr Hall later this year.

All music snobbery will be thrown out for retro celebration 80s Gold on November 15.

Martin had great success, alongside his brother Gary Kemp, in Spandau Ballet during the New Romantic era with four of their records reaching the top 10.
