FORMER Stone Roses and Asia guitarist Aziz Ibrahim is to demonstrate his multi-genre music mastery at the North West Guitar Show.

The musician will be continuing his long association with Cinnamon Brow resident Peter Hoarty who has been running the events since 1998.

Now in its 22nd year, the UK’s longest established guitar show returns to its most popular venue at Haydock Park exhibition centre on Sunday, May 19, from 10am to 4.30pm.

Alongside workshops and demos all day, Aziz will be joined on the main stage by three-piece rock, soul, funk and punk powerhouse, Porcelain Hill, hard rockers Samarkind and show favourites The Huers.

Building on record attendance in 2018, this year’s show will be the biggest yet with more than 120 dealers and exhibitors in four exhibition halls.

Peter said: “Forged in the style of USA table-top exhibitions, the event brings together major retailers, distributors, manufacturers, luthiers, boutique specialists and even private collectors all with bargains in everything guitar related.

“It is a unique opportunity to buy, sell and trade new, vintage and second hand guitars, amps, effects and accessories and to be entertained by live music from top guitarists in the 400-seater live music hall.”

Admission is £8 on the door, under 12s are free. For more information visit guitarshows.co.uk
