A GENRE-SPANNING music festival is coming to Warrington at the end of the month – and it is free.

Table tennis bar Fat Cat Ball Room in Cairo Street is hosting Fat Cat Festival with Writer’s Block Promotions on Friday, February 28, on two stages.

The band stage will feature Crawlers, China Moon, Hollow Lane, TicNoToc, Aaron Ellis, Arm Chair Captains and Good Talk.

There will also be an acoustic stage with Scott Simpson, Junior Dayvis, Dylan Rodriguez, King Fast, Katie Brown, Lee Egerton and Alison Benson.

With something for everyone, the music will cover country/Americana, indie, punk and rock.

Main stage headliners Crawlers have been making waves since the launch of their debut single, So Tired, which has been streamed thousands of times on Spotify.

The four-piece rockers were also a Warrington Music Festival favourite last year.

Acoustic stage headliner Scott Simpson is a singer-songwriter from Runcorn who recently released his debut single, St Margaret.

Fat Cat Ball Room, based in the old TJ Hughes unit next to Mojo, was opened by Ian Walker in 2018.

It offers ping pong, beer pong, retro games and pinball under one roof.

Fat Cat Festival is at Fat Cat Ball Room on February 28. Doors open at 4pm
