(Broom Road, Newton Meams)
(Temporary Restriction to Use of Road) Order 2021
On the 24 September 2021 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Broom Road, Newton Mearns to facilitate the safe operation of essential utility works proposed to be carried out on this road.
The Order authorises the closure of Broom Road, Newton Mearns between its junctions with Mearns Road and Broomcroft Road. The works are scheduled to be carried out fromThursday 28 October untilThursday 13 January 2022.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative Route: Broom Road - Sandingham Avenue - Lochbroom Drive - Broompark Drive - Mearns Road And Vice-Versa.
