NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC -ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -Hollin Lane, Styal
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic as follows, install new manhole. Prohibition of traffic - Hollin Lane. Styal - From the junction with Holly Lane to the junction with Altrincham Road.
The alternative route will be via Hollin Lane, Styal Road, Maelr Eastbound, Manchester East Airport Link, Handforth Bypass, Storeys Way, Slip Road Southbound, Retail Site South Roundabout, Ainslie Way, Dean Row Roundabout, Maclean Way, Bollin Valley Roundabout Bollin Valley Link, Manchester Road Roundabout, Manchester Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route. This order will come into operation on Monday 13 September 2021 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 24 September 2021. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS -(Public Footpath No 8 in the Parish of Plumley and Public Footpath No. 5 in the Parish of Tabley Inferior)
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order effective from the 18 January 2021 being extended and continuing in force until 18 July 2022 or until the completion of bridge repair works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following Footpaths: Footpath No .8 in the Parish of Plumley which commences at its junction with White House Lane at O.S. grid reference (OSGR) SJ 7181 7627 and runs in a generally northly direction for a distance of approx. 115m to its junction with Footpath No. 5 in the Parish of Tabley Inferior at OSGR SJ 7180 7638. Footpath No 5 in the Parish of Tabley Inferior which commences at OSGR SJ 7180 7638 and runs in a generally northerly direction for a distance of approx. 126m to OSGR SJ 7176 7650, and then runs in a generally north westerly direction for a distance of approx. 321 m to OSGR SJ 7156 7674, and then runs in a generally westerly direction for a distance of approx. 152m to its junction with Chester Road at OSGR SJ 7141 7673.
This closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by a bridge damaged by flooding and during works that will be undertaken to repair it.
