ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 5 PICTON AND PUBLIC FOOTPATH 7 WERVIN) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the continuous footpath commencing with FP 7 Wen/in from the junction with FP 1 Wervin at OSGR SJ 43557257 and running in a generally southerly direction for approximately 64 metres to the parish boundary and continuation as FP 5 in Picton at OSGR SJ 4353 7250 and running in a generally southerly direction for 463 metres to OSGR SJ 43497210 to terminate at the junction with FP 6 Picton
The closure is necessary because of storm damage that makes the footpath unsafe and the works being or are proposed to be executed on or near this footpath. The closure continues the restriction that came into force on 16 March 2021 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works required to improve the surface are completed, whichever is the earlier. For an alternative route follow the unaffected footpaths shown on the site plan.
