SALLIS Isabel The funeral has recently taken place at Holy Cross Church, Billesley Common, Birmingham of Isabel, daughter of the late Kathleen and Leslie Sallis, and younger sister to Rod. Isabel was brought up in the family home on Stanley Road, Knutsford and was educated at Egerton and Knutsford Secondary schools. On leaving school Isabel trained as a nurse, which took her to various hospitals in London and then Australia before returning to the UK to settle in Birmingham. During retirement Isabel carried out voluntary work, took an active role in church life in the Moseley and Billesley areas, enjoyed watercolour painting, and had an active social life. Donations were received for Birmingham St Mary's Hospice and Motor Neurone Disease Association. Revd Debbie Collins officiated the funeral service.
