Sorry to hear such sad news about Jan. Our thoughts go out to her family. We will always remember Jan’s smile, her concern inquiring about the family as she remembered each and every one of her past students. Such a loss to all those who knew her.

Jan was a true force of nature. I can't think about her without smiling. Working closely with her for so many years was a pleasure. My first memo to her came back corrected and we got on brilliantly from then on. So many students (and staff) have reason to be grateful for Jan's energy and influence. She will always be fondly remembered.

A great lady who was loved by all she taught - such sad news

So very sad & sorry to hear this sad news. My thoughts go to her son and her family who loved & cared for her to the end. Such a wonderful lady , full of fun and an inspiration to her students and colleagues at Knutsford Academy. Jan always had time for everyone and I will always remember her arriving each morning dashing from her car, in her lovely high heels, on her way to morning briefing. She was a lovely person to know & she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. xx

There is not enough space to write about Jan, it would take a book. And as she is no longer here to correct my spelling and grammar I will be brief. Jan was my boss, my mentor, my inspiration, my comedy partner and most of all my friend.
My years working at Knutsford with Jan were my happiest and in the words of many of her students she was simply a Legend! Love to her family at a really sad time for a great many people who now live better lives for knowing her. X
